For nearly two weeks now fans of the late DJ AM have been on pins and needles just waiting to hear if their favorite disc jockey’s reality show Gone Too Far would be airing sometime in the near future, or at all.
On Monday MTV gave devotees a reason to smile after news broke that the network would indeed be broadcasting the one-hour, eight-episode series beginning October 12 at 10:00 p.m. EST.
AM, otherwise known as Adam Goldstein, developed and hosted the show which chronicles addicts who are trying to overcome their drug habits.
Adam’s family members, who are thrilled to hear that the documentary is a go, released a statement Monday:
“It is our hope through airing this show that people will get to see the side of Adam that we knew and loved, not just the celebrity DJ, but the honest and caring person who gave so much of himself to help others,” part of the statement read. “The decision to air the show has been difficult, but we do this with the profound belief that it will inspire others to seek help.”
We can’t wait to check out the new series, and we hope it brings Adam’s next of kin some peace of mind. (Usmagazine.com)
